Scopes

Video scopes are tools video editors cannot do without. They provide an exact and reliable measurement and representation of the elements making up your images and videos, from color values to brightness, and are indispensable for perfecting that look of your production.

They can be rather intimidating in particular for editors without formal training so this section should give you a starting point and introduction to video scopes and how to use them to your advantage.
