Description
This effect/filter draws a colored grid on the input video.
Parameters
| Parameter | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Color | Picker | Defines the color for the box |
| Replace color and alpha | Switch | If the input has alpha, checking this will overwrite the video’s color and alpha pixels with the pixels of the painted box. By default (off), the box will be composited onto the input, leaving the video’s alpha intact. |
| X / Y Offset | Integer | Defines the starting point of the grid in pixels from the top left-hand corner of the monitor (coordinates are based on the project dimension settings) |
| Width | Integer | Defines the distance between vertical grid lines in pixels |
| Height | Integer | Defines the distance between horizontal grid lines in pixels |
| Thickness (px) | Integer | Defines the thickness of the line in pixels. If set high enough, the grid is essentially filled. |
Hint This effect can be used in combination with the Chroma Key: Basic or Chroma Key: Advanced effects to create interesting transitions by animating the number of grid lines and their thickness. *[RGB]: Red, Green, Blue *[VFX]: Visual Effects *[feathering]: Smoothing or blurring the edges of a feature *[LFO]: Low-Frequency Oscillation *[dB]: decibels *[LUFS]: Loudness Units Full Scale *[AI]: Artificial Intelligence *[LLM]: Large Language Model *[HSV]: Hue, Saturation, Value *[SOP/Sat]: S(lope), O(ffset), P(ower) / SATuration *[CDL]: Color Decision List *[HSL]: Hue, Saturation, Lightness - Using HSL color space is useful for subtle color changes
